and last night I made a great sheetpan dinner --- which is another way I love to cook --
that was a play on the sweet & savory flavor combo.
I lined a large sheetpan with parchment paper and added to it, a coursely chopped red onion, one peeled and chopped sweet potato, and 5 sliced Aidells Chicken and Apple Sausage.
I drizzled olive oil (not a lot, the sausage already has oil), and cranked salt and pepper over the top.
I baked at 425 for 30 minutes, then stirred a bit with a spatula.
we had crumbled feta in the fridge, so I sprinkled some on top with some fresh rosemary from the garden.
Back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
easy-peasy, and we practically licked that sheetpan clean!
;-)
Alrighty!!
I hope this helps spark your interest in a few new ideas for the sweet potato!
have a great day, and happy slow cooking!!
