Happy Sunday Slow Down Society!!
this is the 17th edition of the Sunday Slow Down -- which is a weekly recap of things that have been happening in my world -- both online and in real life.
and 17 is my favorite number, and I've always considered it a lucky number.
So today feels like a milestone moment!! #booyah!
Speaking of milestones --- I met ALL OF my January goals, so I took February 1st off to celebrate.
and it was awesome.
:-)
I pretty much spent the day goofing off --- I stayed away from the computer and took a long walk, then a bath, followed by a nap.
it was lovely!

One of the super great and fun things about having older kids in the house is that we have a group text chat that we call "Nuclear Fam" --
Adam has taken it upon himself to start taking photos of incomplete chores and adding in PSA announcements for the kids.
I LOVE everything about this. Each time I think I couldn't possibly adore that man any more, he surprises me.
Public shaming in a group text so mom doesn't need to constantly be the nag?
#swoon

I recorded the 17th episode of the Slow Living Podcast and it is all about hormones.
Women's hormones. If you would like to take a listen, you can do so in your favorite podcast app (search Slow Living) or online, here.
I was worried about recording this episode because I'm not a doctor in any way, shape, or form -- but I figured I had the woman part down pat, so I went for it.
The premise of this episode is: you are not a spreadsheet. You have ups and downs and inbetweens, and there is nothing wrong with you.
also? I think you are wonderful.
There is a new blog post up on the site -- and in it I share how I don't think "settling" or "making do" is a fun way to live out a life.
I burnt my arm on the oven this week. I was on the phone with my cousin, Michael, while also taking a sheetpan of sweet potatoes out of the oven.
(I really should have put him on speakerphone!)
I didn't want the sweet potatoes to roll off of the pan, so I very very carefully lifted the pan straight up so I wouldn't jostle them.
I lifted it straight up until the top of my arm hit the roof of the oven.
It hurt.

Yesterday we had a glorious day being SF tourists at the beach and in Golden Gate Park. We let Sheldon run around like a crazy dog and we all got in a bunch of steps to make the FitBits happy.
The photo on the right was noteworthy enough to snap a photo of --- it appears Golden Gate park doesn't want you to have ANY fun --
and I'm pretty sure we saw examples of each and every one of these rules being broken.
#loveit
Okay, that is it for me for today!
Consider yourself loved and hugged.
I think you're wonderful.
