Hey there ,
Can I just say…I’m so glad you’re a part of the Slow Down Society,
and I hope it feels like one of the easiest decisions you’ll have every week.
Check your email. Read and scroll. Get a ‘lil something good to add to your day.
;-)
One of the reasons this little email is so important to me is because it’s running on intention and slow living.
I mean…don’t you think there’s enough noise in the world right now? And I think sometimes, we need things that feel a little bit more grounding, almost like
an exhale.
If this resonates, , I’d like to invite you to do something with me this week:
I want you to think about how many decisions you make in a day.
(P.S. If you don’t know that answer, I’ll happily share with the class. The average person will make around 35,000 decisions in a
day).
That’s a lot.
And if I had to guess, , you’ve probably got a few extra people in your life that you’re making decisions for. Maybe your partner, your kids, your pets, your friends…the list goes on and
on.
It’s why this week, I want you to slow down (maybe even…dare I say…stop) and decide on just one thing you can do for yourself this
week.
Bonus points if you decide on it today and schedule it into your calendar.
Here are a few ideas I came up with:
⚪ Wake up 30 minutes earlier and journal with coffee in your favorite mug
⚪ Go on a walk and catch up with an old friend on the phone
⚪ Schedule that overdue appointment and get it off your to-do list
⚪ Ask your family to give you just 15 minutes of uninterrupted time every night this week
Those are just what came to mind for me today, but if I had to guess, there are probably some things you’ve been putting off for awhile, too.
Because here’s the thing, , it’s one thing to take care of everyone else around you, but it’s another completely to find peace for yourself in the
day-to-day.
And I believe it’s totally possible for you.
If even reading that makes you feel a few nervous butterflies in your stomach, that’s probably your sign to get curious and ask yourself why.
Because I don’t want you to wake up in a few years, wondering if you lived your life on everyone else’s terms. I want you to save a seat at the table for yourself along the way,
too.
Just a thought, but if this resonates with you, I’d love to know. You can hit reply to this email and we can talk more about what came up for you.
Okay, that’s all for now.
Consider yourself loved and hugged.
Talk to you next week!
xoxo steph
