Happy Sunday, !!!
I have a question for you…
Have you ever been asked what you need help with, or what you need to feel supported… and your mind goes totally blank?
You have a moment of panic, feeling like you don’t know yourself.
Or a moment where you realize that you do so much for others, you don’t even remember the last time that you accepted help for yourself.
When we give so much of our time, energy, and love to others, we can easily forget what it is that fills our cups.
We don’t remember what feels slow, easy, supportive, or even luxurious (and P.S. I’m not talking diamond jewelry or cashmere sweaters here).
It’s so easy to forget what it feels like to ask for help without also feeling guilt or shame.
, I want to take a moment to hand you a permission slip to rest.
If you’re feeling exhausted, burnt out, or overwhelmed from caring for others, please remember to also take care of yourself.
I know that can be something that feels really simple to read, and a very difficult one to practice.
I know because I used to be exactly where you are.
When every week:
⬜ you’re spinning your wheels and worrying about the meals that need to be
made…
⬜ The kids need to get shuttled to their next sports practice…
⬜ The house has to be cleaned, laundry must be done, bills need to be paid…
⬜ And don’t forget about your parents and in-laws you’ve got to care for…
It can feel nearly impossible to squeeze even five minutes into your day for yourself.
But I promise, there is time.
Remember—caring for others doesn’t mean that you stop caring for yourself.
You CAN care for others and take time for yourself.
You can absolutely do both. Lots of love to you,.
I think you are wonderful.
