Happy Friday, Slow Cookerers!!
what's for dinner tonight?
we are going to be having 16 bean soup ---
I make this soup a bit different each time I cook it, depending on what
leftovers I have in the fridge and my mood.
In a nutshell -- I pre-boil the beans and then let them soak for an hour in the hot water.
then I dump, rinse, and add to the crockpot 8 cups of water or broth, leftover veggies I have in the house, an onion or some onion
flakes, and if we have cooked meat or some smoked sausage or a ham bone I toss that in.
