Hello there, Slow Cookerers!!
It is FRIDAY.
Â
and I don't know about you, but in our house:
Friday = Pizza Night.
I love Everyday Rituals -- stuff that families do that are kind of nostalgic
and everyone knows what to expect.
You can easily create this with your meal plan -- this helps with decision fatigue of (ugh, what's for dinner ?) and can help with establishing routine and predictability -- which is very helpful for humans who like things they can control.
;-)ALSO: Routine and Rituals do not have to be boring!Since we went gluten free back in 2006 due to a family allergy, getting our Friday Night Pizza Fix isn't quite as easy as it used to be, because I need to plan a bit better.That said, we RARELY make it through a weekend without Pizza. There are so many awesome frozen GF pizzas available (we really like the Freshetta brand) and quite a few pizza houses in our area stock gluten free crusts.BUT.If you'd like to make pizza at home, or an "alternative" way to have pizza on your Friday (or Sunday or Tuesday, whatever... I'm not picky... ) night feast, then I've got a few suggestions for you.These options are ALL gluten free, and most can super easily be
converted to Paleo and Keto by omitting the grains.the only one that it would be tricky to omit the grain/flour completely would be the Puffy Pizza Casserole -- it still asks for a flour-based baking mix.I use a gluten free baking mix, though.I hope
you enjoy these!Happy Slow Cooking!!steph Â
