A-1 and Dijon Steak recipe for the crockpot
Published: Tue, 12/06/16
Tuesday!
(25 days left in the year. In case you were wondering. I did the math.)
We have had a revolving door of colds and sinus wonkiness in our house these past few weeks.
My suggestion to you is to buy stock in Lysol and Clorox Wipes.
you can thank me later.
;-)
BUT! I finally have taken the plunge and have bought myself a Neti Pot. My friend Christine swears by hers, and after I get used to the feeling of almost drowning evidently I'm supposed to really fall in love with mine, too.
We will see. The jury is still out....
Today we will have a super easy dinner and I'm going to bring back to life some Rib Eyes that were bought in July from a huge pack at Costco.
A-1 and Dijon Steaks
serves 4ish
The Ingredients.
4-6 steaks, or a hunk of tri-tip you cut into 4-6 steaks OR you could use an inexpensive rump roast or chuck roast.
[But then it would essentially be POT ROAST, NOT steak. Which is ok with me but you'd have to change the name. ;-) ]
2 tablespoons A-1 sauce
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1/4 cup white wine
The Directions.
--combine the A-1 steak sauce and the dijon mustard in a little bowl
--paint the sauce mixture on all sides of each piece of meat
--place the meat into your crockpot
--pour in the 1/4 cup of white wine
cook on low for 6-8 hours.
serve with potatoes or rice or french fries or vegetables or something that you normally want to eat with steak.
The Verdict.
Sometimes the easiest recipes taste the best.
Which can be kind of a bummer when you put in a lot of time and effort chopping, mixing, and tasting.
sigh.
This tastes good. This tastes really good.
That pretty much sums it up.
BOOKS! I have written BOOKS! and you should buy them for people that you love. :-)
