Slow Cooking Out of the House

Happy Friday Eve, Slow Cookerers!!!

Today I am getting ready to be the "snack mom" at a weekend gymnastics meet.

Many of you are also in charge, or help with:

potluck gatherings
school fundraisers
sport event snack bars
church potlucks and/or fundraisers

and today I am going to convince you to Remember Your Slow Cookers(!) while planning your event or fundraising sale.

This weekend I'll have 4 slow cookers plugged in.

One for Nacho Cheese (from a can! the bright orange fluorescent variety!)

One for Taco Soup (sold as chili, and then spooned over the top of hotdogs and nachos)

One for Chicken Teriyaki (cooked the Lazy Way with bottled Teriyaki sauce)

One for Hot Dogs

it will be awesome.

I get a lot of questions about whether or not I use the slow cooker liners.

For this type of thing, YES. Absolutely YES.

It is SO NOT FUN to scoop out thickened congealed nacho cheese sauce from your slow cooker after it's been plugged in for 12 hours.

Trust me.

It is completely and totally awesome to just lift the bag out and toss it into the trash after you've been on your feet for 16 hours listening to complaints helping customers.

If you are looking for different potluck or gathering ideas, these are my absolute favorite:

I hope this is helpful for you!

Happy Slow Cooking and enjoy your day,
