Happy Wednesday, Slow Cookerers!!

It is spring break in many parts of the country right now and this is usually the time of year that people start solidifying their Summer Vacation plans.

If I may be bold for a minute, I suggest travelling with your slow cookers.

I'm going to share (a rather lengthy) article I wrote a year or so ago that has gotten quite a bit of commentary ---

(who would've thunk it that the internet is opinionated... ;-)  )

when I camp, I bring along slow cookers.

ACTUALLY, when I stay in hotels, I ALSO bring along slow cookers!

The good news is, it appears I'm not alone.

Since this article was written I've received hundreds of emails from people from all over the world stating that they, too, travel with their slow cookers.

The thing is -- when you are out and about traveling and sight-seeing all day long, sometimes you just want to chillax and sit on the bed (or in your tent, RV, etc etc)

and have dinner already done

because you're tired and exhausted and don't want to think about sitting in a restaurant trying to convince your cranky kids that the server truly is moving as fast as she can and that it takes time to make a hamburger

and YES you DO need to sit still and stay in the booth and stop tormenting your sister ....

ahem.

maybe that's just me?

SO.

My suggestion is to plan ahead and see if you can do some cooking of your own ---

the beauty of slow cooking is that you really only need an outlet, and then you can cook anywhere.

I hope you find it helpful!!

Do you travel with your cookers? Do you have any tips to share?

let me have it! I love learning new things!

have a great day, and happy slow cooking,

steph
